Repon is a biostatistician and epidemiologist in the National Perinatal Epidemiology and Statistics Unit (NPESU), Centre for Big Data Research in Health, UNSW. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Statistics and MS in Population Sciences, and currently is in a PhD program under School of Public Health and Community Medicine, UNSW. He has over ten years of professional experience in a wide range of fields including infectious diseases epidemiology, social and behavioural sciences, reproductive health, and health economics.

Prior to joining UNSW, Repon worked with icddr,b, Bangladesh on studies to evaluating the impact of health interventions, modelling of risk factors associated with infectious diseases, and estimating the burden of infectious diseases, such as hepatitis B, hepatitis E, Japanese encephalitis, respiratory viruses, cholera, and rotavirus.
