The use of health information has become a fundamental component for the efficient organization of health systems, amenable to different uses supporting clinical care, public health surveillance, research, policy and planning. Recent OECD studies found significant cross-country differences in health data availability and privacy limitations, as well as data governance mechanisms required to keep the balance. In his talk, Fabrizio Carinci will present recent developments in OECD and EU projects.
